Every SkyScape submittal package includes the documentation required by architects, general contractors, and local permitting authorities.
Shop Drawings
Detailed fabrication drawings showing canopy dimensions, profiles, connections, and finish specifications. Drawn to scale and formatted for contractor and architect review.
Engineering Calculations
Wind and snow load calculations per ASCE 7, including load combinations, member sizing, and anchor force calculations specific to your project location and conditions.
Anchor Layout Drawings
Plan and elevation drawings showing anchor locations, spacing, embedment depths, and substrate requirements for contractor coordination.
PE-Stamped Documents
Professional Engineer stamped drawings and calculations available where required by local jurisdiction. SkyScape coordinates PE stamping as part of the standard submittal process.
Material Certifications
Mill certifications for aluminum extrusions and fabricated components confirming alloy, temper, and compliance with project specifications.
Finish Specifications
Color and coating documentation including AAMA 2604 compliance for high-performance powder coat finishes. Custom color matching available.
From Order to Approval
The submittal process follows a straightforward sequence. Here is what to expect after your order is placed.
Project Information
SkyScape requests project-specific information from the GC — site address, building elevation drawings, substrate details, and wind and snow load parameters for the project location.
Engineering & Drawing Production
Our engineering team calculates loads, sizes members, designs connections, and produces shop drawings specific to your project. Typically completed within 2–3 weeks of receiving complete project information.
Submittal Review
The complete package is submitted to the architect and GC for review. SkyScape responds to RFIs and revision requests promptly to keep the project on schedule.
Field Verified Dimensions
Field measurements must be taken and confirmed before fabrication begins. SkyScape coordinates with the general contractor to verify all critical dimensions on site prior to production.
Approved for Fabrication
Once the submittal is approved, fabrication begins. SkyScape coordinates delivery timing with the GC to align with the project schedule.
